What is it?
Every year, thousands of kids suffer from long-term medical hair loss. Locks of Love
is a public non-profit organization that provides hairpieces to financially disadvantaged
children under the age of 21, in the hopes of seeing them happy once again.
Where will I be?
Anywhere! Just fill out the Hair Donation form and send that along with your hair to the
address on the form.
What will I do?
If you’re growing your hair out, considering donating it to Locks of Love. While it does
require some bravery to cut off twelve inches of hair, you know it will grow back, unlike
for those who have lost their hair to cancer for example. All you have to do is go to a
salon, put your hair in a ponytail and have them cut it off. Remember that it must be in a
ponytail or they cannot accept it, and your hair cannot be bleached.

WIGS FOR KIDS
What is it?
Wigs For Kids is a charity that collects hair and money donations in order to assure that
children suffering from hair loss and coming from financially disadvantaged families do
not have to pay a cent for their hairpieces. Where will I be?
Anywhere! The way Wigs For Kids works is this: if you’re making a hair donation, all
you have to do is send your hair along with a hair donation form to their center in Ohio; if you’re making a money donation, you just go online to their website. What will I do?
Before donating, make sure of a few things:
1. The hair you are donating must be a minimum of twelve inches long.
2. It must be cut in multiple ponytails (to allow for multiple donations and so that it
is easier to handle).
3. It cannot be bleached, permed, or colored.
If you meet all the requirements and want to donate, get your hair cut at any salon (their
website lists many salons across the U.S. that will do it) and send it to their center.
